Short Annapurna Trek starts from the beautiful city of Pokhara. A short drive from Pokhara takes you to Phedi from where your actual trekking journey starts. The trail goes through the foothills of Annapurna and passes places like Dhampus and Pothana to Annapurna Base Camp. On the way, you pass terraced farmland, rice- paddy fields and other Brahmin and Chhetri villages to Dhampus village. From the Dhampus, walk up through rhododendron forests with the beautiful views of mountains on sight. Following the trail, it will take you to Sarankot. In Sarankot you can get glorious views of sunrise and sunset amidst the mountains in Annapurna range.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport

You will be welcomed by us at the airport and transferred to the hotel for check in. Enjoy your time at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 2: Fly to Pokhara and then trek to Australian Camp(2100m)

We take an early flight to Pokhara with a scenic view parallel to mountains like Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhre and other peaks in Annapurna region. As we arrive in Pokhara, we can feel the beauty of valley in this air. The fresh air, pristine environment along with the lushness, we can see people cycling, boating and enjoying in the backdrop of beautiful mountain vistas. After amazing fight to Pokhara, we drive towards Phedi which is the starting point of our trek. Today, we head to Australian camp via Dhampus & Pothana. We pass various cultivated terrace fields and Brahman - Chhetris villages to Dhampus village. From here, we climb up through rhododendron forest with beautiful mountain views on sight. As we reach the Australian base camp, we can enjoy the best view of Mt. Machhapuchhre (Fish Tail), Mt. Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himal. We stay at a guesthouse in Australian Base Camp for the night.

Day 3: Trek to Sarangkot(1600m)

Today, we walk through a forested area and decend down to Naudanda. Our trail today is esay that goes along a hill ridge to dense settlement area. The area is inhabited mostly by diverse ethnic group people. We continue through our trail for around six hours until we reach Sarangkot. As we reach Sarangkot, we can see the beautiful vistas of mountains on both side with Pokhara valley down below. We picturesque valley with lakes embedded in it looks amazing. The snow-capped mountains right in front of us is divine. We stay at a guesthouse in Sarangkot for the night.

Day 4: Trek to Pokhara and fly back to Kathmandu

In the morning, we applaud the beautiful sunrise view from a view tower in Sarangkot and trek down for around two hours to Pokhara. In the afternoon, we explore around and take a flight back to Kathmandu. We stay at a hotel in Kathmandu for the night.

Day 5: Departure Day

Finally, it is time for us to bid you a goodbye. Your guide will escort you to the airport before your scheduled flight for your journey ahead.

 Verified Adventure of a lifetime in the Himalayas My experience with Bhairam and Himal Eco Treks was amazing! Everything was accounted for from Kathmandu hotels, local and remote transportation (that flight into Lukla is one to remember), tea houses on the trails, food, knowledgeable guides happy to inform on local culture and what that peak waaay in the distance was.  Verified Excellent Manaslu trek experience Bhairam was our lead guide for an 11 day trek on Manaslu Circuit, with a party of 5. We had 2 guides and 3 porters. Our experience was excellent in every respect, including arrangements from pick up from airport to departure. Bhairam was wise, patient, kind, generous, and led our group with experience and skill.  Verified Great Himalayan trek and Kathmandu tour Himal Eco Treks did a fantastic job organizing and guiding our trek in the Everest region. We had comfortable accommodations, good food, and our guides did a great job pacing our group well and supporting members of our group who were having trouble. Post-trek, Himal Eco Trek arranged great last minute tours of Kathmandu and Chitwan. Our guides also helped arrange a special birthday celebration for me when my birthday happened to be one of the days of our trek. Bhairam and Gakul were great with managing all the logistics and picking the best tea houses, and were fantastic with setting a safe and comfortable pace for the hiking.  Verified Go visit Goyko region! I had a wonderful experience with a group of friends trekking to Goyko, Goyko lakes and summit in Goyko Ri. It was as if we submitted the top of the world! The tour is very well organized, the guides were very knowledgeable, accommodating, and friendly to be around. The guides kept us all safe at altitude too. The tour company was also very flexible about arranging different side tours in Kathmandu and different departure dates for members of our group.
