Embark on your journey to Khopra Hill Trek in the Annapurna region of Nepal with Himal Eco Treks. This blissful journey starts with a drive from Kathmandu city along the highway to Pokhara city. Moreover, the highway route is splendid with incredible views of rivers, hills, forests, and lush landscapes. Upon your arrival in Pokhara, Himal Eco Treks will accompany you all the way to Khopra Danda. Initially, the trail to the hill goes normally along the route of Annapurna Base Camp Trek. Then we drive to Nayapul and walk along the foothills of Annapurna to Tadapani. We pass villages, farmlands, and forests in between the trail.

From Tadapani, our trail diverges from the normal route to Khopra Hill. We take a route that goes through Bali Kharka to Khopra Danda. When we reach the hill, we will get to see magnificent views of the mountains in the Annapurna range. The people, villages, and forests that we traverse through along the way is a beautiful experience that one can have on this journey.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport
As you arrive in Kathmandu, your guide will pick you up and escort you to the hotel for check in. You will be informed about your plans further. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Day 2: Kathmandu Sightseeing and trek preparation
After breakfast, we take a tour to Kathmandu valley which includes sightseeing of UNESCO listed cultural heritages like Pashupatinath temple, Swayambhunath, Boudhanath stupa and Bhaktapur Durbar square. After sightseeing tour, we check our equipment requirements for the trek and make necessary preparation for the trek. Overnight at the hotel in Kathmandu
Day 3: Drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara (900m)
You can either fly or drive to Pokhara at you will. You guide will pick you up at the hotel and transfer you to airport or bus station. We take a tourist bus and drive along the Trishuli river. The scenery along the route is dramatic as we can enjoy the views of river, valleys, cascading rice terraces and rocky gorges. As we arrive in Pokhara, we check in the hotel. In the evening, you may enjoy leisure boating on the serene Fewa Lake and see the reflection of the Mount Machhapuchhre and Annapurna Range on the crystal clear water of the Lake. Day 4: Drive to Nayapul and trek to Tikhedhunga (1540m)
Today we begin our trekking journey at Nayapul, after an hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,015m), a large village with many shops and teahouses. The trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m. After a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570m. Today's walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region. Overnight at guesthouse in Tikhedhunga
Day 5: Tikhedhunga to Ghorepani(2850m)
Today our trail crosses a stream on a suspension bridge near the camp site at Tikhe Dhunga. Then we ascend up a steep stone staircase to the large Magar village called Ulleri. Our trail climbs up gently through pastures and cultivated fields above the village. We then crosses two sparkling streams and make a short and final climb to Nangethanti. From Nangethanti we follow our steps up until we reach Ghorepani at 2850m. As we reach Ghorepani, we can see the panoramic views of Mt. Dhaulagiri I, Nilgiri, Annapurna I, Hiunchuli right before our eyes. Overnight at guesthouse in Ghorepani
Day 6: Hike up to Poon hill and descend down to Tadapani (2660m)
We wake up early in the morning and hike up to Poon Hill for the sunrise view. Poon hill is a famous vantage point where we will be able see a glorious sunrise amidst the Himalayas. The views of Mt. Dhaulagiri, Annapurna South, Fishtail, and others from this point is spectacular. After visiting Poonhill, we will descend down to Ghorepani, and continue our trek to Tadapani. Day 7: Tadapani to Baili Kharka (3450m)
At Tadapani, The trail to Khopra Hill diverges from the trail that joins the route to Annapurna Base Camp. We leave the main trail to Annapurna Base Camp and take alternate route that will lead us to Baili Kharka. The first part of the walk will be through the rhododendron forests until we open up to a pasture. As we move ahead, our trail gets steep and narrower. But the views that we will be blessed with is beyond any words of description. The off beaten route with magnificent views of mountains is super awesome. We continue through the route until we reach Baili Kharaka. Today we stop at a guesthouse in Baili Kharka for the night.
Day 8: Baili Kharka to Khopra Danda (3660m)
Eighth day of our journey where we leave Baili Kharka and walk up to Chistibung! We continue our walk through a forest which is a collection of some big and old trees. Today, we walk through that route which is treasured with few rare trees and is a home to rare faunas like pheasant and Himalayan Thar. You may get a glimpse of one if lucky. We continue our walk with an ascend up to Khopra Danda until wereach the top. From the top, we will be rewarded with some excellent views of Annapurna South, Mt. Dhaulagiri and other neighboring peaks. After exploring the views of mountains and other sceneries from the hill, we spend our night at a guesthouse in Khopra Danda
Day 9: Khopra Handa to Paudwar(1750m)
Early in morning, you can walk up to the top of Khopra Danda for some outstanding views of mountains in the Annapurna region. The hill top is ideal for the sunrise and sunset views too. The glorious sunrise and sunset amidst the mountains is a beautiful view to look at. After exploring the gorgeous views of mountains from Khopra Danda, we descend down along a well paved and pleasing path to Padwar. Paduwar is a small and sparsely populated village in the Annapurna region. As the route to Khopra Danda is recently discovered and opened newly for trekkers, you can expect simple lodging and food as you diverse from the main trail to the Annapurna Base Camp. Today, we stop at a guesthouse in Paudwar for the night.
Day 10: Paudwar to Swanta(2400m)
Today, we leave Paudwar and take a trail that narrows down to Swanta. As we walk down, we will be blessed with some fascinating views of mountains, hills and lush landscape. The beautiful scenery will accompany us throughout the day until we reach Swanta which would be our halting station for the day. We stop at a guesthouse in Swanta for the night.
Day 11: Swanta to Baili Kharka(3450m)
Leaving Swanta, we take our steps back to Baili Kharka. We return back through same route that we had taken earlier. The route is unique as it is marked with the big and old trees. If you are a researcher or fond of plants, then this can be a place where you can encounter some unique and rare species of trees and plants. On the way, we pass Chistibung and continue our walk down to Baiali Kharka. We stop at a guesthouse in Bhaili Kharka for overnight stay.
Day 12: Baili Kharka – Tadapani(2675m)
From Baili Kharka, we return back through the pastures and forests of rhododendron to Tadapani. We continue our walk along the lush and appealing landscape until we reach the point that joins the trail of Khopra Hill Trek with the Annapurna Base Camp Trek. The walking hours for the day would be around six hours. We stop at a guesthouse in Tadapani for the night
Day 13: Tadapani to Pokhara(900m)
Today, we leave Tadapani and descend down slowly through a forested area to Gurjung. From Gurjung, we walk towards Chomorong and descend down to Kimyo Khola. We pass the river and make our way up to the beautiful village of Ghandruk. On the way, we will be blessed with some fantastic views of lush landscapes, hills, valleys, mountains and forests. We enjoy the magnificence of nature all along the way to Gandruk. From Gandruk, descend down to Syauli Bazaar which is the end point of our walking journey. From the bazaar, we take a jeep to Nayapul and catch another vehicle that will lead us to Pokhara. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara
Day 14: Drive to Kathmandu (1350m)
Today we wrap up our journey and drive back to Kathmandu along the scenic route of Trishuli river. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu
Day 15: Departure Day
You guide will transfer you to the airport for your journey ahead
