Owning to its off beaten natured trail, Ganesh Himal Trek takes you to one of the less explored sections of Nepalese Himalayas that traverses through lush hills, valleys, forests and alpine meadows. The name Ganesh comes after the name of an elephant-headed Hindu deity – Lord Ganesha who is regarded as the god of fortune. Ganesh Himal has four main peaks which are popular as Ganesh I, Ganesh II, Ganesh III, and Ganesh IV. Blessed with biological diversity, the region is home to various species of floras, faunas, birds, and butterflies. Many medicinal herbs and colorful wildflowers have been noticed in this area. The Ganesh Himal region is also a mining area for rubies and crystals. Being a remote region, the mineral ores and natural resources here are completely untouched and unutilized. Also, the region has been able to preserve its treasures to date.
