Overview

Helambu Climate Trek is an emerging concept in the field of travel and tourism. These kinds of treks are rarely conducted by any other travel companies in Nepal. We – Himal Eco Treks have taken an initiative to aware travelers about eco-friendly treks in Nepal. So, what does Climate/Eco-friendly Trek actually mean? “An innovative, forward-looking travel concept that inspires me 100%” (Manfred Häupl). As explained by Haupl, climate/ eco-friendly trek in simple terms is a new concept of trekking where we trek and enjoy the glories of mother nature by adhering to our responsibility of protecting mother nature.

Helambu Climate Trek is a delightful journey where you can enjoy the lavishing attire of mother nature. You can see the green hills all around to the farthest you can see. While the terraced fields cultivated with buckwheat is adorned white flower blossom, the orchids that glow in the trunks of trees makes the whole environment mystical. The snow-clad mountains that rise high and watch over the hills and forests like a watchman, isn’t it amazing?

There are few local lodges and travel agencies that work with us for climate/ atmosphere protection. Climate/ atmosphere of the entire world has been degrading day by day. Cutting of trees, urbanization and people’s reckless decision for pollution has caused global warning which has an adverse long term impact. No one can run from the natural disaster. Earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes in Nepal in April 2015 is an example. It caused a huge loss of life and property. Himal Eco Treks has coordinated with different parties to revive the trekking trail of Helambu that was once devastated by the same earthquake in 2015. Helambu Climate Trek takes you along the trail that has revived after the earthquake. The newly built earthquake-proof and eco-friendly houses, lodges and how these places have given job opportunities to local people.

No wonder, you can experience all of this with the glorious views of lush hills, valley and wild mountains all around. You can walk through the pristine environment along with the rhododendron forests enjoying the distant view of Jugal Himal. You can explore the local people especially the people from Sherpa and Tamang community. Their traditional way of livelihood and the vibrant Tibetan Buddhist culture that adds color to their life, Helambu Climate Trek is truly an enriching experience.

So, are you ready for this lively experience? It all starts with a sightseeing tour to the UNESCO listed world heritage sites in Kathmandu. It is followed by a drive to Chipping and hike up different villages in the Helambu valley.  You can enjoy the splendor of Himalayas along with the serenity of hills, valleys, and dense forests.
