Along with that, you can get the best view of Mardi Himal, Mt. Annapurna, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Lamjung Himal, Tent peak, Gandharva chuli, Mardi Himal and Mt. Machhapuchhre. Furthermore, you can also witness the beautiful rice fields, lush valley and blue glaciers of the Annapurna sanctuary. Moreover, Annapurna Sanctuary is a home to various rare birds, animals, and plants. If you are lucky you can encounter some rare species too.
The trek starts from Phedi after an hour’s drive from Pokhara. We gradually ascend up through the traditional villages and pass beautiful oak and rhododendron forests to viewpoint via Pothana, Kokar, Low camp, and high camp. After the walk, we get the dramatic views of Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mardi Himal and Annapurna. The views of mountains are rewards after such hard work. Conversely, we head back to the Pokhara after the awe-inspiring views of mountains from the viewpoint. So, pack your bags and come along with your travel companion – Himal Eco Treks. A representative from Himal Eco Trek will receive you at the airport and transfer you to the hotel. As you check in the hotel, rest for a while and learn about your journey plans ahead. Spend the night at a hotel in Kathmandu.
Today, we take an early flight to Pokhara. After around thirty five minutes flight, we will find ourselves at the airport in Pokhara. You will be transferred to the hotel for check in. After lunch and rest, you will be guided to some beautiful places of Pokhara for sightseeing. Walk along the PhewaLake and enjoy boating. Visit a temple in between the lake and make your way to Gupteshwor temple, a famous Hindu temple in Pokhara. Your sightseeing tour is followed by visit to David’s fall and International Mountaineering museum. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
After the breakfast, we take a short driveto Phedi, from where we start our actual trekking journey. We walk along the terraced farmlands, villages and rhododendron forests to Pothana. On the way, we can get some glimpse of PhewaLake too. As we reach Pothana, we will be blessed with some wonderful views of mountains in Annapurna region. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Pothana.
Today, we climb uphill through the jungles with the beautiful views of Dhaulagiri and Annapurna ranges for most of time. As we pass through the dense jungle, we can get a glimpse of some birds and animals living inside it. We can see animals like leopard, deer, monkeys and many other if lucky. We continue our walk until we reach forest camp which would be our halting point for the day. Overnight at a guesthouse in forest camp.
Today, we start ascending up to Badal Dada. As we ascend up, we can feel the vegetation growing thinner and thinner. The birch, oak and rhododendron trees are slowly replaced by fern trees, lichens and mosses. As we pass the forest, we can catch a glimpse of Himalayan panorama through the gaps in between the trees which is truly an amazing experience. As we reach Badal Dada, we can see some admirable views of mountains with the sensual breeze blowing on the Dada. Overnight at a guesthouse in Badal Dada.
Our destination next is High Camp. Our journey for the day is quite short but full of adventure and glorious views. On the way, we will be blessed with some appreciable views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, Gangapurna, Khangsar and Tare Kang. As we reach the High camp, we enjoy our lunch and rest for the other part of the day. Overnight at High Camp.
Today is an exciting day of our journey. We wake up early in the morning under the backdrop of beautiful Himalayas. The glorious sunrise amidst the Himalayan panorama is spectacular. We take our breakfast and get set for our climb to Mardi Himal Base Camp which rises tall at the height of 4500m. Though exciting, our climb can be quite challenging. We walk along the narrow and rocky trails but the climb will be worth it. The fantastic views of Annapurna I, Annapurna South, Annapurna III, Gangapurna, Hiunchuli, Kang, Khangsar and Macchapucchre from the top is rewarding. After reaching the top and applauding the beauty of mountains, we descend down to the High Camp for overnight stay.
Today we retrace our journey back. We descend down to the Low Base Camp and pass the dense forest to Mardi Khola. We further walk through beautiful Gurung and Tamang villages and pass Siding village to Lwang. On the way, we will pass through beautiful views of rice fields and forests. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lwang.
From LwangGhalel, we catch a vehicle which takes us back to Pokhara city. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara.
Today, we take a drive to Kathmandu along the scenic Trishuli river route. You can also take a direct flight to Kathmandu as per your preference. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.
