Overview

Pisang Peak Climbing is an adventurous journey where you will be able to see the beautiful view of Annapurna Range. This climbing journey is an awesome mix of trekking in Annapurna circuit with thrill of climbing Pisang peak. Also, Pisang peak is a peak shape up of steeply rock which ascends with ice slopes. These ice slopes are uniform above the Pisang village and yak pastures. Not only the dip slope faces the valley but the summit of the peak is also fully cover with snow throughout the year.

Furthermore, Pisang Peak covers the whole western edge of the mountains that is reserve by hanging glacier. It offers a considerable challenge. While a navigation of the whole summit edge connects more northern summit before curving back west – looks like a terrific possibility. As a trekker, you get a lot of scope for exploration. The Pisang peak climbing trek will take you through the Marsyangadi valley with astounding views of Annapurna II, III, Manaslu and Gangapurna. You can explore Pisang and Gyaru village with various primitive monasteries in those area.

Your journey starts with a drive from Kathmandu to Jagat via Besisahar. Drive through the hills and rivers  will be an awesome experience. As you pass through the lush hills and flowing water of the Trishuli river. The real trek begins from Besisahar. From there you will walk along the villages like Darapani, Chame, Pisang and pass various forests and farmlands. Also the greenery and countryside lifestyle together is an amazing mix. Even more, main highlight of the trek is to climb up through the steep rocks to achieve the peak of Pisang.

This trek will take you to the highest pass of the world- Thorong La pass. You can encounter some wonderful views of mountains like Annapurna I, II, IV, Gangapurna, Machhapucchre and Dhaulagiri. Other than that,  blessing of being at Muktinath is phenomenon; religiously and naturally. But Pisang peak climbing is not just limited to this. Detail Itinerary

You will be welcomed by us at the airport and transferred to the hotel for check in. Enjoy your time at the hotel. Overnight stay at the hotel.

Early in the morning, your guide will pick you up at the hotel for the sightseeing tour. Enjoy the historical and cultural aspect of Nepal in Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath stupa. Today’s day is set aside for any last minute preparation for your trek if necessary.

Today, we drive to Jagat through Besisahar. Our drive to Jagat would be a awesome with scenery all around. The view of the countryside, beautiful landscape along with lush and beautiful environment would be our attraction for today. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Jagat.

Today, we start our trekking journey and follow our trail to Dharapani. Our trail climbs up as we head to Chamje. We pass a beautiful waterfall and a suspension bridge over the Marsyangdi river. We follow our trail along Marsyandi River and ascend up to Tal. Our trail from Tal is quite rocky. However, we cross the valley and continue our walk until we reach Dharapani. We stop at a guesthouse in Dharapani for an overnight halt.

Today, our trail climbs up to the heights of 2630m to Chame. From Dharapani, we climb up and pass a forest to Chame. Chame is the head quarter of Manang district which is well known for its stunning views of Annapurna panorama. Overnight at a guesthouse in Chame.

Our trekking journey starts will a walk through the forest. On our way, we cross two bridges after which we catch a glimpse of rock flank. The rock flanks are actually of Paungda Danda. From this point, we continue our journey further to Pisang. Enjoy your dinner at a guesthouse in Pisang.

Today is a rest day at Pisang village. We check and set up all the gears for climbing and get acclimatized. We wander around the village enjoying the magnificent views of mountains like Annapurna I, II, IV, Dhaulagiri, Gangapurna, Macchapucchre, Tilicho, and many more. Overnight at a guesthouse in Pisang.

After a relax day at Pisang, we start our day with new energy and start walking up towards Base camp. Today, our trail ascends through sparse wood and pasture to a Kharka. Kharka is in a flat alpine section along the well-worn trail and is considered as the best place for setting up the base camp. Overnight at a tented house in base camp.

Today we continue our journey up and climb up the south west ridge to high camp where we set up our camps for the night. Overnight at a tented house in high camp.

Today is the day when we finally achieve our dream to be at the top of Pisang peak. We start early in the dawn and climb up a well-defined ridge with the help of rope and axe. As we continue our climb, it leads us to a final snow slop which is quite steep. A little of technique is required to conquer the summit. After our achievement on top, we descend down to Base Camp. Overnight at a tented house in base camp.

This a day set aside in case of any contingency. If you could not climb the summit of Pisang Peak in day 11 due to any unforeseen circumstances, you can climb the peak today.

Have you heard about the magnificence of Manang valley? Yes! It’s our destination for today. We retrace our journey back to Pisang via Juju and continue our trail to Manang. We pass the yak herds and some settlements to beautiful Manang valley. Overnight at a guesthouse in Manang valley.

Leaving Manang, we head towards Thorong La Phedi We follow our trail to Yak Phedi with the views of Annapurna II, III, IV and Gangapurna on backdrop. From Yak Kharka, our path rises slowly to the beautiful Thorong valley. From the valley, we further climb up to base camp at Thorong Phedi. Overnight at a guesthouse in Thorong Phedi.

Today is an exciting and adventurous day. We start our trek early in the morning at about 4 a.m. We ought to cross the Thorong La Pass late by 10 a.m. as the weather in that altitude is highly fluctuating. If late, the storm and wind may act as an obstacle to our journey. At Thorong La Pass, we are at the highest point of our trek i.e. 5416 metres. We pass Thorong La Pass to reach Muktinath. Muktinath is a holy destination to both Hindu and Buddhist pilgrimage. People believe that all your sorrows and grief will flee way after your journey to this place. Apart from its religious values, this is a wonderful site for the awe inspiring mountain views. Overnight at a guesthouse in Muktinath.

Today, we descend down to Jomson via Kagbeni. The popular Kali Gandagi gorge is the main attraction for the day. We follow the valley floor to Jomson which is stretched out to banks of Kali Gandaki River on both sides. The view of Nilgiri peaks from this point is spectacular. Overnight at a guesthouse in Jomson.

We take an early flight to Pokhara. You can utilize remaining part of the day resting or being involved in other adventure activities. You can also opt for sightseeing tour to some spectacular places like lakeside, Gupteshwor temple, David’s fall (water fall) and International Mountain Museum. Overnight at a hotel in Pokhara

Today, we make our way back to Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Finally, it is time for us to bid you a goodbye. Your guide will escort you to the airport before your scheduled flight for your journey ahead.
