It is an exquisite entry into Himalayan climbing which gives the best satisfaction. That every aspirant and serious climber can dream of! Island peak was originally name as, “Imje Tse” . But it was later popular as Island peak due to its fascinating location in the middle of the Chhukung valley. It looks like an island on a sea of ice.

Island peak stands tall at 6189m. And offers the splendid views of biggest mountains in the world which includes Mt. Everest, Makalu, Ama Dablam and Nuptse.  Island Peak has an impressive highly glaciated west face that rises from the Lhotse Glacier which is a bit tough to do, however the magnificent views from the summit are certainly a fitting reward for our efforts. It is the most popular peak climbing destination in Nepal.

Island Peak climbing is mostly non-technical with some basic snow climbing skills required to achieve the ascent. These skills will be taught or revised during the early stages of the climb. But, you need to be physically fit to push your limits. Island peak, though it is not among the tallest peaks, the climbing sensation one gets is the most exhilarating one. It can be an ultimate rush for the climbers to make their way through one of the breathtaking scenery in Nepal.

We take a trail to Everest Base Camp therefore you can gain the experience of being on the top of the world with peak climbing experience. Detail Itinerary

Our representative will pick you up at the airport upon your arrival. You will be transferred to the hotel for check in. Your guide will explain you our plans ahead and you can make some last minute preparations for the trek. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, we take an early flight to Lukla. A scenic flight with mind-blowing mountain views will take us to the Khumbu region of Nepal – Lukla. From Lukla airport, we descend down to the Dudhkoshi river to connect ourselves to the main trail to Namche. We stop at Phakding for an overnight halt. Enjoy your dinner at a guesthouse in Phakding.

Today, we follow the path along the Dudhkoshi river, cross a suspension bridge and few villages in between to Namche. Namche is a popular town in the Everest region of Nepal. Namche has its own charm, a bit of busy place that is rare in that mountainous area. Up to Namche, our trekking journey is easy in comparison to our journey ahead. Enjoy your dinner at a guesthouse in Namche bazaar.

Today is a free day in Namche set aside for acclimatization! We can hike up to the Everest view Hotel for the splendid views of mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Thamserku, etc. On our way to the hotel, we come across the Syangboche airport. On our way back to Namche, we can visit a museum and a photo gallery. For the saved time, you can wander around the Namche bazaar to get acquainted with people and surrounding. Overnight at a hotel in Namche bazaar.

Today, our trek continues along the backdrop of majestic mountains to Tengboche. The spiritual destination of Buddhist people – Tengboche monastery is one of the major attraction of this place. Collecting the spirituality from this place and admiring the views of stunning mountains, we spent our night at a guesthouse in Tengboche.

Today, we head to Periche, a popular Sherpa village where you can get some insights about the people dwelling in mountainous region, their culture, tradition and lifestyle. Overnight at a guesthouse in Pheriche.

Today, we start of journey to Lobuche. Our journey for the day is bit difficult due to the altitude in which we are travelling and the rocky terrain throughout. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Lobuche.

Today, we continue our journey to Goreshep. Our journey today can be one of the exciting days of our trek as we will be in the top of the world – Everest Base Camp. As we reach Goreshep, we head towards Everest Base Camp. The journey can be difficult as the air at this altitude is very thin, however, the stunning views of mountains and the accomplishment of being on the top of the world will make us keep going. We return to Goreshep for an overnight halt.

Yet another memorable day of our trip, we hike up to Kalapattar to behold the beauty of sun rise amidst the towering mountains. The golden rays on the white snow; the combination is absolutely phenomenon. The close up views of the mountains like Mt. Everest, Mt. Lhotse, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, the feeling is simply mesmerizing; tantalizing. From Kalapattar, we descend down to Lobuche for spending our night.

Beholding the close up view of mountains from Kalapattar, we head to a small Sherpa settlement called Chhukung. At this point, we make our preparations necessary for peak climbing. Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Chhukung.

Today is a free day in Chhukung set aside for acclimatization! Overnight stay at a guesthouse in Chhukung.

Today, we walk few hours to Island Base Camp. From this point, we are ready to enjoy the fun of camping trek – living in tented camps; eating the foods cooked on the fire! Enjoy your night in the tented camps.

Today, we climb up to high camp using ropes and following instructions of our mountaineering expert and return back to the base camp. Overnight at the tented camps.

Today is the day when we conquer the summit of the Island peak. We use ropes and follow the instruction of our mountaineering expert to climb the rocky summit. At the top, we collect the splendour of gigantic mountains and return back to the Island Base Camp. Overnight stay at the tented camps in Island base camp.

A free day in Island Base Camp to calm ourselves from the tiring schedule of past two days. Overnight stay at the tented camps in Island Base Camp.

Today, we head back to Tengboche for an overnight halt.

Leaving Tengboche, we descend down to lower altitude admiring the beauty that resides in mountains to Monjo. Overnight halt at a guesthouse in Monjo.

Counting last few steps of our trekking journey, we descend down to Lukla. Overnight at a guesthouse in Lukla.

Today we fly back to Kathmandu. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

Today, it’s time to get acquainted with the unique culture and art of Nepal in the Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath stupa, Pashupatinath temple and Boudhnath stupa. Overnight at a hotel in Kathmandu.

After twenty days of togetherness, it is time for us to bid you a goodbye. Your guide will escort you to the airport for your departure to your homeland.
