Bhotekoshi River Rafting
Bhotekoshi, the steepest river rafted in Nepal rises from the snow-capped peaks of Tibet. And it is the upper river course of the Sunkoshi. For this trip, you just have to drive a few hours to the northeast of Kathmandu. The scenery on the route to Bhotekoshi is mind-blowing. From the spectacular emerald fields to tea aced hillsides, large canyons to the roaring waterfall are absolutely amazing. Meanwhile shimmering water of Sunkoshi to the astounding Himalayan views, on the way is breathtaking. Bhotekoshi also offers you with bungee jumping. Situated 160m over the wild Bhotekoshi River is Nepal’s first bungee jumping site. This remarkable 500ft (160m) drop into the Bhotekoshi River gorge on the Nepal/Tibet border is the longest free-fall in the world.
Our two days long journey starts from Lomosangu- Dam. On reaching the destination, the first 10 km stretch of river rafting is done. The next day we start with a quick breakfast at the camp and head straight to the river for a second rafting experience. Finally, after stopping at Dolalghat Bazaar, the trip ends at Kathmandu.
