2021-2022 the Best Years for trekking in Nepal! The upcoming years – 2021 to 2022 are going to be the best years for trekking in Nepal. 2020, so far has been one of the worst years for everyone. Many people have lost their lives, millions have been infected, businesses have gone bankrupt and many people had to suffer from job loss. For the tourism business, 2020 was a black year, not only in Nepal but around the world. The year 2020 was announced as a tourism year in Nepal by the Government of Nepal. So, investments and preparation were done accordingly in tourism business. Nepal was ready to welcome tourists with new enthusiasm and so were we – the Himal Eco Treks Team. But the pandemic took away all the excitement. The trails that used to be busy and crowded couldn’t welcome the trekkers this year. But no worries, we are all set to welcome the trekkers and travelers for the year 2021.

So, if you are bored of staying back due to the pandemic and are looking for a fun trip, plan a trekking trip to Nepal. Trust us, the upcoming years 2021 and 2022 are going to be the best years for trekking in Nepal. And, we are not just saying it. Here are the reasons why?

  • Fresh, silent and rejuvenated trails

We all know that year 2020 was a devastating year for everyone especially for people involved in the tourism business. Though 2020 was announced as a tourism year in Nepal, Nepal couldn’t welcome trekkers/ tourists who could walk through the trails to enjoy the captivating views of mountains and surrounding terrain. Almost four months long lockdown and travel restrictions made the trekking trails out of reach for the travelers.  Humans have exploited the trails for a long and maybe the pandemic was a period where nature could take time to heal itself. Now, the trail is fresh, silent, rejuvenated and beautiful than ever. So, if you trek to Nepal in 2021 and 2022, you will be able to relish the mountains, trails and natural beauty in its new and refreshed form. Even the trails will be less crowded and waking through the serene trail will be a mesmerizing experience.

  • A great help to the local people of rural areas.

COVID-19 has hit the businesses very badly. In the rural areas of Nepal, many people sustain themselves by engaging themselves in different tourism activities. Many of them work in the teahouses, lodges and shops in the trail while others are engaged as a guide and porters. But due to the pandemic, the businesses have halted their operation and most of the people have lost their jobs. The scenario is getting worst as people are running out of money and stocks for livelihood. So, your one decision to visit Nepal can help many people to get a job which will ultimately help them make their hand to mouth.
